Japan gave 500,000 doses of vaccine



Jhapa: The Japanese government has provided 500,000 doses of vaccine to Nepal. Nepal has received the vaccine through the Covax facility.

This is the first consignment of 1.6 million doses of vaccine given to Nepal by Japan, said Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health.

According to the Ministry of Health, the remaining dose of vaccine will arrive in Nepal in a few weeks. Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Roshan Pokhrel, said that Bhutan had also provided vaccination assistance to Nepal.
